Biography

David Theobald originally trained as a chemical engineer, then pursued a career in finance for fifteen years, before deciding to change profession and dedicate himself to becoming a full-time artist, attaining an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths in 2008.

Recent exhibitions include the neo:artprize 2015, KARST Artist Film Screenings, Screengrab International Media Arts Award in Australia, 971 Horses and 4 Zebras at Tate Modern, Ikon, Birmingham, and solo show PC World at Motorcade/Flashparade, Bristol. His work was included on the New Contemporaries Moving Image 1968 – 2010 DVD. He was winner of the 2015 Creekside Open selected by Richard Deacon, the Motorcade/FlashParade National 2012, and the Open West 2011.
