The story of the saddest man in the world, who lives atop the tallest mountain, and a curious woman who wonders why he is so sad. The animation captures projected images and ink drawn cut-outs on a large wall mounted piece of paper.

Cut-out ink drawings and projected digital images are combined and edited on a large sheet of paper and captured frame-by-frame using a digital camera.

I'm currently spending all my time in a darkened studio filming the animation. I combine cut-out ink drawings and a projected image on a large piece of paper and record it frame by frame with a digital camera. It's a process that takes a lot of patience, and Blu-Tack, but it's great to discover a new way of working.
