Participants in Silent Signal, a project bringing together six artists and six biomedical scientists, will discuss their collaborative output at Open City Docs Fest. Filmmaker Ellie Land considers the link between disrupted sleep patterns and schizophrenia, drawing on the mice model research being undertaken by Dr Peter Oliver from the University of Oxford. Samantha Moore, animated documentary maker and researcher, responds to the work of Dr Serge Mostowy from Imperial College London by focusing on the behaviour of the cytoskeleton in a zebrafish infection model.
