With an aim to introduce to international artist films and video, the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art (LCCA) continues artist film screenings in Riga and Liepaja with a selection of films from the Animate Projects back catalogue.

Screenings in Liepaja are organised particularly for the students of the one year old New Media Art Study programme of Liepaja University. The programmes are screened in collaboration with foreign distributors, video, film and new media festivals.

The LCCA is a non-governmental organisation, which serves as a platform for promotion and popularisation of contemporary art processes. Previous partners include: LUX, Index DVD, Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Index DVD, Impakt Festival and EMAF Festival.
