Synopses

The found sounds of news time as the domestic meets disaster and survives. Collage craziness in this abstract exploration of the perils and pleasures of being and staying alive.

An abstract film that attempts to connect to the real experience of everyday life through the partial disclosure of a fantastic event. The event should have involved certain death but there was a miraculous escape. Then, after a period of post-survival triumphant euphoria there was an interview.
Day-to-day mystical, trivial and important activity is represented using reoccurring symbolic triggers, both visual and aural.
'Something has happened and I missed it. I saw the headlines though, so I could probably guess the rest. I wonder if I’ll guess correctly. I can guess the rest. I wonder if I guessed correctly.'

Technical information

Found messages, doodles and drawings are animated and combined with recycled live action taken from TV or shot on video. Similarly, the sound was taken from the ordinary audio environment – rooms, streets, TV, radio etc.
