216 Westbound is an art project by artist Shona Illingworth in collaboration with John Tulloch, survivor of the 7/7 London Bombing (2005). The project explores how an ‘embodied experience’ of the attack and of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder intersect with the powerful and insidious affects of the bombings on the complex and multiple imaginings of the city: the mapping of a new topography of latent threat and fear onto space.

Professor Martin A. Conway is a neuropsychologist and one of the foremost international experts in the field of autobiographical memory. His work explores the centrality of memory to our sense of self. He held the prestigious Economic and Social Research Council Professorial Fellowship at the University of Leeds, where he established the Memory Research Group. He has written extensively on autobiographical memory.

Professor Andrew Hoskins is Director of the Adam Smith Research Foundation, University of Glasgow. His research focuses on the theoretical and empirical investigation of today’s ‘new media ecology’ and the nature of/challenges for security, and individual, social and cultural memory in this environment. He has an established record of leading externally funded empirical research into the shifting relations between media, war and terrorism, media and radicalisation, and media and memory.
