Synopsis
Ex Memoriam is a memory at work, with its course carved in the flesh, its flashing moments, its many layers of meaning and all those sounds which pile up until they're nothing more than the sound of the wind.
Programme notes
A colourful and enigmatic character in French animation, Beriou bucked the trend of 3D computer animation to become a master of 2D image manipulation, developing his trademark motif of tentacle like body parts, weaving an infinitely extendable territory of interconnected memories, tumors and scars.
